She is called 'Seeker of Vision' and she seeks to know why children are raped. This is part of 3 drawings I did, one a mandala, in response to the Girl-X incident in Chicago. Girl-X had been molested and beaten and left to die during the winter in Cabrini Green. Her condition was horrific and one wonders what it means in our world that children are raped. She seeks a healing prayer for the world.

Hi mark, I just dropped in on my way back to my Full Moon site. I liked what I
found and thought that I would leave you a note for your efforts in creating this post. It
is amazing what you find looking through these blogs, and the links from them. Have
you ever done that?

dear mark, i live up here in the u.p. eh....know your family, they are all very talented and kind people, i see where the heart came from for these works. i am melissa's friend and teach a little art too...i am from libertyville originally.
these are wonderful, expressive portraits of the world as you see it. thanks for sharing them, i love them! i do think you are painting them in the right color, it is the heart chakra's color and these are full of heart.
girl x...i didn't know...so here comes my big blue prayer right now!... blue is the color of protection, st. michael's cobalt sword, to protect our children and our world from unspeakable horror such as this. it is good you are telling people about what happened to her. i wish i could do something for her. there is power in words and power in art, so maybe a blue series next? the protection paintings? hhhhmmmm? peace, kerri
p.s. if you ever wanna talk, your sis knows me :)
